amazing idea and execution!

Cool game with cool idea

i LIKED QUICK LIttle play

I liked the idea, but the game still looking small. 4/5  :D

Very unique concept, i liked it!

very nice concept with great potential had me on edge the entire time! so like 2 min lol kind of a shame the boss didnt do anything besides spawn 1 move mobs. but the bouncing arrow was a nice touch

lack of difficulty aside, it was a blast, really hope this gets expanded on cause id love to play this as an actual game

i understand this was for lundum dare and not meant to be a full game, but if you do decide to work more on this then i think a few tweaks would greatly improve upon whats already there

might be better if the spirits didnt stand still in their charge attack but just slowed down, you dont really have to dodge or avoid them in the current state
or maybe add a new mob that Teleports all over the place while its charging, and instead of them always being stunned after a charge, just if they charge into burning trees , then positioning would be tactical
when defending the bonfire that you actually have to do so, that they try to extinguish it.
and well, for the boss to do something, like extinguish the fires, create fog to make the light weaker, buff the mobs with rain coating, or just attack back, use its spikes, anything really

(not meant as criticism, i enjoyed every moment of it)

This is a really cool idea

This is a really cool, clever game, and the use of "limited space" as "limited safe space" (especially in the area where the trees thin out) is done super well. I'm not a fan of horror games, but I do love tension, and this game walks the line between both of those perfectly! Well done!

Heck yeah! Ludum Dare is the best jam ever, one of my fav parts is checking out Itch's recommended entries 🙌

Hello! this is a terrific game! Is there a way to force the game to restart from the very beginning?  I was recording it for a Let's Play but had an issue and and was going to start over but now the game only loads from a checkpoint... any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

You can clear browser cache if you’re on the web, like go into incognito mode and hit ctrl shift R, I didn’t implement a restart feature for a game jam 😅

I downloaded the zip file and was playing on PC but I'll try it on the browser too. Thanks for the reply I totally understand! :)

The game looks so neat! Love the atmosphere, graphics,  and especially the gameplay :)

very simple but very enjoyable! Reminds me of monument valley stylistically :) very nice work!

I think this game is fun! I think it's cool that your weapon is also your source of vision.
Small suggestion: When you pick up your arrow, it would be good to have a sound effect and a gentle visual cue. I often walk past the arrow thinking I picked it up when I hadn't. It can be a little frustrating.

It's 15 minutes of pure joy. Very simplistic mechanic but implemented flawlessly, keeps you attracted and guessing what's next.

(+2)

The game has a cool retro style, and the forest atmosphere is just right. The gameplay is enjoyable and provides a decent challenge. But what really grabbed my attention was the intriguing storyline – it keeps you guessing about what happens next, which is pretty cool!
